This free,1-hour training is held the first Wednesday of every month at NAMi Spokane from 6:30pm-7:30pm and taught by Dr. Kohlmeier. Students receive a certificate of completion and a resource booklet.
Goals of the course
To teach anyone to recognize suicide warning signs and intervene. Similar to CPR, this "gatekeeper" training equips individuals to ask about suicidal thoughts, persuade someone to seek help, and refer them to appropriate resources.
