Who We Are

Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) of Spokane County consists of volunteers called upon to assist in responding to local emergencies or disasters.

What We Do

To support the healthcare community, the Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) of Spokane County is working to build its pool of healthcare volunteers. MRC is recruiting healthcare professionals who are not currently employed or who have personal time available to help supplement staffing during times of emergency. MRC is recruiting healthcare professionals from various disciplines including the following:

  • Registered nurses
  • Nurse practitioners
  • CNAs and NACs
  • Physicians
  • Physician assistants
  • Medical assistants
  • Mental health professionals
  • Non-medical volunteers

MRC coordinators will position volunteers in settings that fall within their scope of practice and work to ensure that volunteers are placed in scenarios that they are comfortable with. Please note that the list above is not all inclusive—other healthcare disciplines will be considered depending on need.
