Who We Are

We are a local nonprofit organization called Spokane Angels. We are new to Spokane, but have chapters all over the country. We are made up of a all volunteer ran board including local foster moms, teachers and community members. Our mission is to walk alongside children in foster care and their caretakers by providing consistent support through relationships, intentional giving and mentorship. It is our belief that every single child should have one consistent adult in their life who knows the color of their eyes and the passions in their heart.

What We Do

We match volunteers with local children in foster care and their caretakers through our Love Box program. Volunteers provide the whole foster family with a monthly Love Box filled with intentionally thought out things the foster family and children may need and want in that month. This love box serves as the basis of building a deeper relationship with the family and children based on the need of the family. In addition, the volunteers could provide short respite through babysitting, dinners, emotional support, etc. Our Dare to Dream program matches volunteer mentors with youth in foster care age 15-21. The volunteer first works to build a relationship with the child and then works towards accomplishing 12 milestones that help the youth have the skills and support for a plan after life in care. Milestones include things such as getting a drivers license, making a resume, learning to cook, etc.
