Who We Are
Our vision statement is: We, as people of God, believing we are called in Christian service to be God's hands and heart to all people, have come together to provide an Information and Assistance Center in Cheney. You shall love your neighbor as yourself. Matthew 22:39b"
What We Do
We provide services for low-income people and families, including the elderly, ill, and disabled. Direct Emergency assistance includes help with energy, rent, food, household & personal needs, medical prescriptions, bus passes and gas vouchers for work and/or medical appointments, & rec activities, school supplies, and Christmas gifts for children. Assistance requires a complete file with Cheney Outreach Center including proof of residence within our service area. Call us at 509-235-8900 to see what documents are needed. Bus passes for work and appointments will require verification of employment and appointments. Gas vouchers require a current driver's license, current vehicle registration, and current insurance. Employment, appointments, and insurance will be verified before gas vouchers are written. All assistance depends on available funds.
