Meals on Wheels Greater Spokane County is calling on compassionate individuals to help serve meals to seniors in need in Spokane County.
Join Meals on Wheels GSC as a Silver Café Server and help us provide nutritious lunches, warm conversation, and a welcoming atmosphere to homebound seniors in Spokane County. You’ll be stationed at one of our 13 Silver Café sites—serving freshly prepared meals, assisting with dining setup and cleanup, and spending quality time visiting with guests. Whether you’re greeting a familiar face, lending a hand with table arrangements, or sharing a laugh over lunch, your presence strengthens our mission to fight senior hunger and isolation.
Volunteering with us is about more than delivering meals; it’s about fostering vital social connections that enhance the health and well-being of seniors. Many of our volunteers are retirees eager to give back, college students exploring meaningful community service opportunities, or families who enjoy making memories while spreading joy to seniors. We provide all volunteers with orientation and training. A background check and food handlers card is required. Your small commitment can make a life-changing impact!
