This free,1-hour training is held the second Thursday of every month at Spokane Central Library from 1:15-2:15pm. Students receive a certificate of completion and a Stop the Bleed kit.
Goals of the course
- Learn how to recognize life-threatening bleeding and act quickly and effectively to control it with three quick techniques.
o Use your hands to apply direct pressure to a wound.
o Pack a wound to control bleeding.
o Apply a tourniquet
- 2. Empower participants to make a life-or-death difference when a bleeding emergency happens.
