Who We Are

The Northeast Community Center co-locates community partners to meet the needs of our neighbors. Akin, HIllyard Senior Center, Manzanita House, MultiCare Behavioral Health Clinic, Northeast Child Development Center & Head Start, The Northeast Support Team Coalition, Spokane Neighborhood Action Partners (SNAP), WIC, Unify Community Heath (Medical, Dental, Pharmacy). Key partners include: • Residents of Northeast Spokane — central to planning and decision-making. • Schools and families — connected through ZONE programming. • Nonprofit and community partners — a broad collaborative network of organizations. • Funders and civic partners — who contribute financial and structural support. Because The ZONE is built on collective impact, the initiative depends on resident voice and partner engagement rather than any single organization’s direction.

What We Do

We are a community center and resident led initiative supporting children, youth, and adults in the neighborhoods of Northeast Spokane. The ZONE is actively implementing initiatives in multiple areas: • Youth Expanded Learning: supports after-school/summer learning in neighborhood schools and community spaces. • Adult Expanded Learning & Employment Pathways: building skills and economic mobility for adults. • Fostering Social Connections & Emotional Health: block-level and community-wide efforts to strengthen wellbeing. • Youth Wellness Zone: supports mental health and wellness of youth. • Housing Stability efforts: addressing neighborhood LMI housing capacity. • Childcare: Secured funding for a new evening/weekend childcare center
