The Cleaning from the Corridor event is focusing on creating meaningful projects by implementing volunteering opportunities where volunteering meets community and neighborhood needs. We strive to create projects that leave lasting impressions on our volunteers, the project area, and for the people who live there.
Time Commitment: The volunteer activity is for Saturday, April 29th from 9am to 12pm.
Project Description: This project features donating blood and supporting the health sector and human services around our Spokane community!
Location: Your project site is also your meeting location, Institute for Extended Learning site (2310 N. Monroe). Your project leader is the staff of the Inland Northwest Blood Bank Center, and you can be looking for other volunteers wearing their black and white Cleaning from the Corridor t-shirt.
Bathrooms: Bathrooms can be found at the Corbin Senior Activity Center (827 W. Cleveland), Vessel Coffee (2823 N. Monroe), and the Institute for Extended Learning Site (2310 N. Monroe).
Stick around after the event! CFTC is partnering with numerous community organizations and nonprofits who will be present at the CFTC event. Stick around after the volunteering activities to meet them and learn about not only their participation in CFTC this year but what they are doing for the Spokane community. Once the volunteer activity is finished, the volunteers are encouraged to stick around for fun activities including pop-up businesses, food trucks, tours of the area, the temporary parklet, activities and educational booths.
This year Cleaning from the Corridor (CFTC) event is focusing on the North Monroe Street corridor in the Emerson-Garfield neighborhood. Projects along the corridor will be focused between Montgomery Street to Cleveland Street along Monroe, and from the West to East from Adams to Post!
