Wednesday afternoons from 12:00 to 3:00 or 3:00 to 6:00pm and Thursday mornings from 8:30am to 12:30 pm involve distribution and working with the public.

This volunteer role may include the following tasks:

Front Desk:  Assist with counting and bagging items upon checkout

Sorting: Separate out anything that has any of the following traits : stains, broken zippers, missing buttons, rips, etc. Make sure everything is in good enough condition that you would gladly gift it to a friend or family member. 

Hanging: Hang items according to posted signage. Receive donations as they come in during service hours. Perform any other extra tasks the clothing bank manager needs.

You may be placed in other departments help out as needed. Hours can be flexible, please ask.

Assist in the Hygiene department in prepping products for distribution, greeting people at intake or gathering items behind the scenes for check-out during service to the public. Pre-arranged trained applicants preferred. You may be placed in other departments as needed.

Set up Food bank area for distribution. Lifting bending and reaching are part of the job requirements. Hours can be flexible.

These positions are reserved for individuals that are caseworkers of clients with special needs that need a job coach or caseworker to accompany them in their volunteer tasks. The work will be customized to suit the individual abilities. Hours will flex based on individual availability. These shifts are pre-arranged

This is an all weather outdoor position working with the public that requires bending lifting and standing. At your designated “station”  you will help distribute food items based on the guidelines for an average household of 4/5 people unless otherwise specified.  Restock the shopping line from the back-up supplies set up for you.  Addressing any dietary restrictions or special requests via  assistance from the runner on shift or the Assistant Food Bank Manager.

Our food bank service is held outdoors, and our other departments often have doors open or are involved in going outside periodically so please dress to be warm enough, layers are a good idea. More is better than less, we have lockers if you need one.
