Description

Growing Neighbors is helping neighbors across Spokane to grow and share healthy food and relationships. Help us increase access to healthy food through:

  • Starting and expanding hyper-localized community gardens
  • Planning, promoting, and hosting neighbor gatherings and meals
  • Building and installing Little Free Pantries
  • Delivering food and picking up compostables via Bicycle or other means
  • Building and managing community composting systems
  • Leading educational workshops on gardening, cooking, food preservation, waste reduction, art with repurposed materials
  • Constructing garden-related things like raised beds, compost bins, chicken coops, trellises, yard signs, etc.

Join us on Tuesdays in April and beyond from 4-5:30 for community gardening at 5508 N. Alberta St. most weeks. Check our website calendar for changes and additional opportunities. We're also happy to plan projects around your availability and in your neighborhood!
