Join us as a Block Captain at Garland Pride. You'll be positioned at fixed intersections across the Garland footprint. You'll manage localized crowd control, clear Emergency Vehicle Access (EVA) lanes, and direct evacuations at assigned exit points. Training provided prior to shift
Details -
Responsibilities:
-Stay posted at fixed exits or intersections of the festival to let cars in and out
-Crowd Control
-manually move the barrier for the arriving emergency vehicle and physically guide first responders down the EVA lane to the patient's exact location
-Direct Patrons to exits in the event of an emergency
-Reminds all active volunteers in their area to take a 30 min shade and hydration break
-reports any safety concerns to the Safety Coordinator via walkie-talkie
Requirements:
- Must have a valid drivers license
- Must have a cell phone for emergency communication.
Supervision:
Reports to the Safety Coordinator, Operations Manager, Executive Director, or any Spokane Pride Board Member
