Are you passionate about cooking and sharing your skills with others? Do you enjoy spending time with Intellectual and developmentally disabled (IDD) adults? Well this might be the perfect opportunity for you!

Our Life Skills Program is searching for a volunteer to lead engaging cooking demonstrations or simple meal preparation classes while teaching basic nutrition and healthy eating habits. Lessons should focus on practical, easy to follow recipes and everyday kitchen skills in a supportive, encouraging environment. 

Volunteers will:

  • Lead interactive cooking or baking activities.
  • Teach basic kitchen safety and food handling.
  • Share simple nutrition tips and healthy eating habits.
  • Encourage participants to build confidence and independence in the kitchen.

Volunteers must complete and pass a background check.

We are seeking someone who is interested in volunteering recurringly to build a relationship with our clients and help instill confidence through repetition and practice of their skills.
