Description

Providence ElderPlace is an innovative program of services for older adults. Providence ElderPlace helps older adults remain as healthy and independent as possible in the community for as long as possible.

Volunteer Phone Friend: We are in need of someone who has experience with people living with personality disorders to be a friend to an isolated senior.  Talk on the phone or video chat and share conversations and build a relationship with an isolated senior.  Bring joy by sharing conversations, stories, pictures, songs-anything you two choose to share.

The right fit for this volunteer opportunity is someone with strong personal boundaries and knowledge or experience with people with personality or behavioral disorders.  Specifically, volunteers will make a phone or video call once or twice a week to their friend.  This conversation will make such a difference. It's important for all of us to have someone to talk to, especially during this very isolating and difficult time.
