Volunteer: Volunteer CooksHelp feed the hungry and build community through the sharing of a meal! Volunteer cooks are needed to prepare dinners for 80 to 100. We currently need cooks for the 3rd and 4th Wednesday night of each month. Your once-a-month commitment will make a real difference in the lives of low-income individuals and families. Prep cooks are also needed for Tuesday prep work including baking desserts. Basic cooking experience and a willingness to get a food handler's permit are required.

Volunteer: Table HostsWest Central Episcopal Mission is in need of table hosts for our meal programs. Table Hosts, after going through orientation, will help us by assisting with setup, serving family-style meals, dining with guests, and assisting with cleanup. Table Hosts build relationships and assist in making our meal ministry go smoothly. Table Hosts are needed on Wednesdays from 4:30pm-7:30pm and Saturdays from 8:00am - 10:30am. St. Lawrence House is a neighborhood gathering place where our guests can stop in to cool off in the summer, warm up in the winter, enjoy coffee and refreshments, pick up a book from our library, use a computer or simply visit with one another. We offer showers and laundry to those in need, and our direct services staff provide referrals to other needed services. Volunteers will welcome visitors, provide hospitality, keep records of guests using shower and laundry services, and help with daily cleanup.
