Volunteer: Board TreasurerThe Treasurer serves as the financial steward of RISE Northwest, providing strategic financial oversight and guidance to the Board of Directors. This volunteer leadership position plays a critical role in maintaining the organization’s fiscal integrity while supporting thoughtful growth and responsible stewardship of donor resources. Working collaboratively with fellow board members, leadership, and financial partners, the Treasurer helps ensure sound financial practices that enable RISE Northwest to continue serving grieving children and families throughout our community. Responsibilities As Treasurer, you will: Provide financial oversight and guidance to the Board of Directors. Review and present financial reports and statements. Assist with annual budgeting and financial planning. Monitor organizational revenue, expenses, and financial performance. Support compliance with nonprofit financial policies and applicable regulations. Help strengthen internal financial controls and risk management practices. Partner with banking institutions, accountants, and other financial professionals as needed. Contribute to strategic discussions regarding the organization’s long-term sustainability.Qualifications We’re looking for someone who has: Experience in accounting, finance, banking, bookkeeping, or financial management. Knowledge of nonprofit financial practices is preferred but not required. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Integrity, sound judgment, and a collaborative leadership style. A passion for supporting the mission of RISE Northwest and the families we serve.Time Commitment Attend regularly scheduled Board meetings.
