Generation Alive empowers youth to compassionately engage the needs of their community through action and service. Using the vehicles of food insecurity and poverty, we work to educate Spokane area youth, teaching them that you're never too young to learn the power of generosity and philanthropy.
Meadowridge Elementary School is preparing to respond to our community's food insecure population by holding a Something to Eat event. Students will package over 18,000 meals for donation to Second Harvest Food Bank. Students are currently working to raise funds to cover the cost of their event. Meals will be packed at a subsidized cost of 25 cents per meal, and all fundraising proceeds will support their efforts.
