Who We Are
Rescuing good food. Feeding our community. Reducing waste.
Feed Spokane brings together food donors, nonprofit food providers, and community partners across the greater Spokane area to rescue healthy, nutritious food that would otherwise go to waste and get it to the people who need it most.
We believe no good food should go to waste while our neighbors are going hungry. There is more than enough healthy, surplus food in our region to make a meaningful difference for individuals and families experiencing food insecurity.
Our Board is made up of local business leaders who care deeply about our community and are committed to finding practical solutions to hunger and food waste.
Together, we can turn surplus food into nourishment, reduce waste, and strengthen our community.
What We Do
We Rescue Food. We Deliver Hope.
Every day, good food is available but at risk of going to waste.
Feed Spokane works with local restaurants, grocery stores, and commercial food partners to safely rescue wholesome surplus food that might otherwise be discarded.
We then connect that food with our coalition of local nonprofit organizations—including food pantries and meal sites— who distribute it free of charge to individuals and families experiencing food insecurity.
Food that would have been wasted becomes food that feeds our community.
Rescue → Redistribute → Nourish
