Who We Are

Operation Healthy Family and its programs use a culturally relevant approach to reach diverse families in poverty. Our work focuses on creating equity for families’ who don’t have the opportunities that accompany economic and social advantages.

We believe all children should be given the opportunity to achieve optimum health, participate in leadership development, experience collaboration, and have adults in their lives that they can depend on.

We are in need of volunteers with the passion to help kids and have a gift and/or skill that will elevate our family outreach programs.

We have two flagship programs the Ballers Youth Sports Club (BYSC) and our school based oral health Initiative, "Brush for the Future" which is currently in 16 elementary classrooms.

The Ballers Youth Sports Club purpose is to extend the coordination of addressing obesity within the community by providing healthy activities by way of sports performance nutrition and training to children in Spokane County. We operate in 10 elementary schools that are all Title One schools and the students qualify for free and reduced lunch. We currently have 4 football teams and 5 basketball teams and a total of 40 members.
