Spokane Service Team (NEWESD 101)

The Spokane Service Team (SST) is the AmeriCorps program of NorthEast Washington ESD 101. We connect young adults with meaningful service opportunities that make Spokane stronger. Through SST, members serve their community while also working on their own goals—finishing school, building job skills, and preparing for what’s next.

Our AmeriCorps members and YouthBuild participants serve side by side to: - Build and renovate affordable housing for families who need it most. - Help young people get back on track to earn a GED or high school credential. - Learn hands-on skills and earn certifications in construction, healthcare, or early childhood education. - Bring in community volunteers to support projects that make a real difference. The Spokane Service Team is about more than service hours—it’s about creating pathways, opening doors, and helping young people and families thrive.
