Hillyard Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1474

Hillyard VFW Post 1474 is a subsidiary of the Congress Chartered Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States and an official subsidiary agency of the VFW Foundation, a 501(c)3 nonprofit. The VFW was founded in 1899 and VFW Post 1474 was chartered in 1934. Hillyard VFW Post and Auxiliary 1474 has been a pillar of the community since 1934. We support and advocate for veterans and their families to ensure their needs are met, their service to our country is respected and their sacrifices honored.

VFW Post 1474 provides support services to veterans their families active duty military personnel and first responders and community members. We operate a free community food pantry and food service programs. We assist and support partner service providers. We sponsor and support partner nonprofit veterans and military organizations. We sponsor Boys and Girls Scouts. Our Canteen provides a comfortable, safe place for veterans to meet and connect. We sponsor a community art program and the annual Hillyard Festival. We fundraise for the VFW Foundation. We hold official Military Ceremonies and Memorials. We operate a Bingo Hall. We host special events.
