Meals on Wheels Greater Spokane County

Meals on Wheels GSC is the largest home-delivery meal service in Spokane County. In our Home Delivered Meal Program, Meals on Wheels GSC volunteers deliver daily nutritious meals throughout the 1,800 miles of Spokane County.  

Meals on Wheels GSC also offers dine-in options for mobile seniors at any of our 13 Silver Café Sites throughout Spokane County. Our kitchen prepares over 4,000 meals monthly for our Silver Café lunch sites and close to 14,000 meals a month for our homebound clients. 

Meals on Wheels GSC fights senior hunger and social isolation for vulnerable adults Every day there are seniors and disabled adults in our community going hungry. Some because they cannot afford nutritious food; others because they can no longer shop or cook for themselves. Meals on Wheels GSC strives to meet the needs of our aging population. Our goal is to ensure that no senior in our community worries where their next meal is coming from. In our Home Delivered Meal Program, Meals on Wheels GSC volunteers deliver hot, nutritious meals. But they bring so much more than “just” a meal. Over fifty percent of homebound seniors in Spokane County report that our Meals on Wheels volunteer is the only person that they see on a given day. That volunteer brings a friendly smile, a word of encouragement, and the peace of mind knowing that there will be someone there to check on the wellbeing of each person we serve.
