Who We Are

Baskets for Babies provides basic baby supplies and clothing to new parents who cannot afford to do so, due to the loss of a job, illness, or other life struggle, living in the Spokane area.

All services are free of charge to low income families in the Spokane (and Coeur d'Alene) area.

We are a Cribs for Kids partner. We promote Safe Sleep to all of our families.

Our Baby Basket program gives children born into hard times, the chance for healthy development that every child deserves. Being able to provide their baby with a safe bed and basic necessities increases the self-esteem of new mothers in need and makes for happier, more confident moms. ( currently our program covers mom's in their last trimester and babies up to 3 months old.. )

Baskets for Babies is supported 100% by community donations and run on a volunteer basis.

What We Do

We host a Baby Shower/Infant Safety class every other month for new parents to attend: they learn infant safety and receive a layette filled with much needed items for their baby, including diapers. (Valued at $150) *We provide a gender specific layette, and other items, after attending our class. Limited to stock on hand.

They are also eligible to receive a free loaner crib, should they not be able to afford a crib of their own.

Our Erin's Mercy program is ran by Jeanne Tucker. She makes and delivers preemie care packages and memory boxes to local hospitals. http://www.basketsforbabies.org/erin-s-mercy.html
